  • ⅓ cup red onion, chopped
  • 500g ground beef
  • 4 pcs red hotdogs, sliced
  • ½ cup tomato paste
  • ¾ cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup banana ketchup
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp white sugar
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • salt, to taste

Spaghetti

  • 500g spaghetti, cooked to package instructions
  • processed cheese, shredded
1

Cook meat: Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Cook red onion, stirring frequently, until translucent. Add the beef and cook until well browned. Add hotdog and cook for 5 minutes. Make a well at the center of the pan and add the tomato paste. Cook the tomato paste for 5 minutes, stirring it into the beef and hotdogs.

Cook sauce: Add tomato sauce and banana ketchup to the pan. Stir until well combined. Once the liquid is boiling, reduce heat to low until mixture is simmering. Season sauce with soy sauce, sugar, black pepper, and salt. Cook until thickened, about 15 minutes more, then remove from heat.

3

Serve: Serve spaghetti sauce over cooked spaghetti noodles and top with cheese.
